It’s no surprise Tampa was recently named “Top 50 World’s Greatest Places” in Time Magazine and ranked “#1 Place to Live in Florida” by Forbes.  Our founder, who has lived in the Tampa Bay area for the past 29 years, has seen this city flourish firsthand with no sign of stoppage anytime soon.

Here’s how it went down: One Saturday, our founder had a busy day planned with two local, popular festivals to attend.  As he was leaving one festival to get to the next, he considered his transportation options. He could: ride a scooter, hop on the water taxi, grab a rideshare service, or take a stroll down the riverwalk. It was at this very moment that he thought of an opportunity that would provide individuals with an alternative and fun way to get around Tampa. “Why not start a business to provide inexpensive golf cart rides around town? Individuals wouldn’t have to worry about operating a vehicle, while getting to enjoy the outdoors at the same time.”

Lo and behold - Zip Ride was born!

Within a few weeks, Zip Ride grew from a concept to a full-service operation, dedicated to provide a unique transportation experience to Tampa visitors and residents.
